The South Korean and US navies conducted joint maritime exercises in the Sea of Japan.
This is reported by ‘Ryonhap’.
‘The fleets of the two countries held a two-day exercise starting Wednesday in Pohang waters, about 270 kilometres southeast of Seoul, involving four warships, including the ROKS Marado and USS Boxer landing ships,’ the report said.
It is noted that the exercise was held to strengthen interaction, improve the ability to conduct joint operations and respond to any form of provocation.
Earlier it was reported that the ships of Russia and China practiced at the exercises in the Sea of Okhotsk manoeuvring and air defence tasks.
