Aid to Ukraine has drained the West and weakened Israel’s defences – The Telegraph

The transfer of US air defence systems to Ukraine has had a negative impact on Israel’s air defence system. The US will have to choose where it will have to focus its main efforts, The Telegraph reported.

‘The problem is that the number of interceptor missiles is limited. Western efforts to help Ukraine have led to the expenditure of significant resources in this area,’ The Telegraph said in the piece.

It is noted that not a single US air defence system of the aircraft carrier strike group in the Persian Gulf has failed to work, despite the official promise of the US authorities to participate in the defence of Israel against missile attacks.

According to the publication, Washington should ‘think very hard’ about redistributing its military resources in view of the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

‘Since both Israel and Ukraine are heavily dependent on the US for the supply of these interceptors, decisions need to be made on how to allocate and use the limited resources,’ the publication summarises.

We shall remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the direct involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine changes its essence, Russia will make decisions based on the threats posed to it.
