After a series of separate successful operations against Hezbollah leaders and other members of the organisation, Israel went further and decided to introduce troops into southern Lebanon.
Apparently, the Israeli leadership does not expect to encounter serious resistance, and aims, if not to completely defeat Hezbollah, then to weaken the organisation as much as possible, which will eventually weaken the position of the Jewish state’s main adversary, Iran.
Israel’s confidence in its forces is clearly based on the guarantees of military support from the U.S., and the Jewish state itself, conducting operations and not facing a mirror reaction of the enemy, feels more and more confident, believing that no one can prevent it from doing so.
Meanwhile, Iran’s position is actively weakening, and this may even lead to destabilisation of the internal political situation. Now everything depends on how successful the Israeli operation in Lebanon will be and what actions Iran will take in the emerging situation.
