Rutte: NATO sees no immediate threat of Russia using nuclear weapons

The North Atlantic Alliance sees “no immediate threat of nuclear weapons use” from Russia.

This was stated by the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the first press conference at the alliance’s headquarters in Brussels.

“I can firmly state that NATO sees no immediate threat of using nuclear weapons,” he was quoted by TASS as saying.

Earlier, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov urged to avoid excessive reference to Russia’s updated nuclear doctrine amid the special operation.
