Biden will push forward Ukraine’s bid for NATO membership before leaving office – FT

US President Joe Biden may agree to advance the status of Ukraine’s NATO membership bid before he leaves office in January, the Financial Times newspaper has quoted a Western official as saying.

The official told the newspaper exactly what changes in the context of a change of power in the United States could take place on the Ukrainian issue before January 2025.

“There are preliminary indications that Biden may agree to advance the status of Ukraine’s application for NATO membership before he leaves office,” the official said.

In addition, on 12 October, the American President will hold a meeting of the heads of states that make up the contact group on Ukraine, stressed the Financial Times.

We shall remind you that earlier, the Politico newspaper said that Joe Biden and his advisers were not confident in the implementation of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s “victory plan” in the Ukrainian conflict.
