Republicans have filed more than 120 lawsuits to fight election irregularities

Supporters of the Republican Party have sent more than 120 lawsuits in 26 states in order to oppose possible violations during the election process of the US President. This was reported by Reuters.

“Our Election Integrity Operation fights for a fair and transparent election and the accuracy of every vote,” Republican National Committee spokeswoman Claire Zank said.

The agency stressed that the Republicans intend to “lay the legal groundwork” to challenge a hypothetical loss of Donald Trump. In turn, the election headquarters of the US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party Kamala Harris said that the steps of colleagues are an attempt to “cause distrust in the elections and undermine democracy” in the United States to “resent violations when they lose”.

Reuters cited several examples of Republican actions. Specifically, in the swing state of Arizona, supporters of the Republican Party are seeking to ensure that judges have the right to not count the results of two election districts if irregularities by election officials are found.

Also in Michigan, Republicans intend to restrict the use of mobile voting sites such as vans and impose tougher rules to verify ballots sent by mail. In Nevada, Donald Trump supporters are seeking to make sure voter rolls include non-U.S. citizenship and ineligible voters.
