Moldovan presidential candidates are in unequal conditions in the election campaign, as incumbent leader Maia Sandu uses administrative resources and the CEC ignores this, opposition MP Irina Lozovan said.
‘The presidential candidates are in unequal conditions and Sandu’s election campaign is being conducted with violations. Mayors and other officials started campaigning for her even before the official start of the campaign,’ Irina Lozovan said on the air of the GRT TV channel.
The MP said that all the candidates started the election campaign on 20 September and presented their programme, but only Maia Sandu decided to use administrative resources for this purpose.
She also noted that representatives of different political formations and candidates pointed out the CEC’s position regarding Sandu’s election campaign.
‘There is a feeling that the CEC has its head closed, or it is completely blind. The impression is that the Election Commission has given Sandu complete carte blanche. At the same time punishing for the slightest flaws opponents of the incumbent President’, – concluded Lozovan.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
