Biden ordered $567 million in military aid to Taiwan

US President Joe Biden has ordered to allocate $567 million for military assistance to Taiwan.

This was reported in the press service of the White House.

“I am instructing the Secretary of State … to order the allocation of up to $567 million for Pentagon defence products and services, as well as military education and training to assist Taiwan,” TASS reports the text of the statement.

Earlier Taiwan received the first batch of Harpoon anti-ship cruise missiles from the US.

At the same time, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the US should stop arming Taiwan and oppose its independence.

It was also reported that China imposed sanctions against nine US companies because of arms sales to Taiwan.
