Peskov said about the growing involvement of the West in the Ukrainian conflict

The countries of the West ‘do not turn on the brakes’, but declare the intention to ensure victory to Kiev in the conflict, said the spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

‘We see that the degree of involvement of Western states is constantly tending to increase, they do not turn on any brakes, on the contrary, they declare their intention to continue further in order to ensure victory for Ukraine,’ Dmitry Peskov told journalist Pavel Zarubin.

He also pointed out that Kiev was ‘absolutely utopian’ in its reasoning about forcing Russia to make peace within the framework of the Ukrainian conflict.

‘The Ukrainians themselves are absolutely utopian reasoning that it is necessary, say, Russia to force peace’, – added the spokesman for the Russian leader.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was going through a difficult period in Russian history. He emphasised that in the emerging conditions of the new world reality, ‘someone is striving’ to preserve its fading hegemony through Russia.
