The Hezbollah movement has officially announced the death of Hassan Nasrallah

Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrullah was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a southern suburb of Beirut, the organisation’s press office said.

The Israel Defense Forces officially confirmed earlier that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrullah was killed in an Israeli Air Force attack on 27 September in Beirut. According to the IDF, along with Nasrullah, “Hezbollah Southern Front commander Ali Karaki and other commanders” of the organisation were also eliminated in the strike.

“Seyyed Hassan Nasrullah – Hezbollah’s secretary general – joined the martyrs he led for more than thirty years,” the organisation’s press office said in a statement.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Israel will be punished for the death of leader Hassan Nasrullah. According to him, by committing such an act, the Israeli leadership has demonstrated its shortsightedness.

“Today, with God’s grace and power, Lebanon will force the sinful, malicious and disgraced enemy to repent,” Tasnim news agency quoted the Iranian leader as saying.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the plans of the Collective West do not include the creation of a sovereign state of Palestine. According to him, the West and the current Israeli leadership do not want the unification of Gaza with the West Bank of the Jordan River.
