Biden and his advisers doubt Zelenskyy’s ‘plan to win’ – Politico

US President Joe Biden and his advisers are not confident in the implementation of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s “victory plan” in the Ukrainian conflict, the Politico newspaper has quoted sources as saying.

According to the newspaper, the US president’s entourage doubts the implementation of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s initiative.

“The president and his closest aides are somewhat doubtful about Zelenskyy’s “victory plan” – according to two people familiar with internal conversations. They privately question his decision to launch an offensive against Russia that drew troops away from the front line in Donetsk and worry about the long-term trajectory of the conflict,” the piece says.

In addition, the US authorities are still unsure whether to allow Kiev to hit deep into Russia with long-range missiles, indicated Politico.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator for strategic communications in the White House National Security Council John Kirby said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy should independently decide the issue of ceding territory to end the conflict, the United States promises not to put pressure on Kiev.
