Stephen Hubbard, a 72-year-old American who fought for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, received $1 thousand per month.
RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to the prosecutor’s statement at the court session.
It is noted that the American has lived in Ukraine since 2014, in February 2022, he signed a contract with the territorial defense battalion of the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region.
“According to the contract, Hubbard was supposed to receive a monetary reward of at least $ 1 thousand per month. Later, Hubbard was trained and received military knowledge, was provided with personal firearms, ammunition and uniforms,” said a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
In April 2022, Hubbard was detained by a Russian serviceman. The American faces from seven to fifteen years in prison.
Earlier it was reported that the court in Moscow began considering the case of a 72-year-old American mercenary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
