Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that nuclear weapons will be used as soon as NATO attacks Belarus.
He said at a meeting with students at BSUIR.
‘As soon as they attack us (NATO is NATO, the Americans and the Poles – they have already lined up along the border, especially the Polish border, we know that the Polish leadership is already rubbing their hands), we use nuclear weapons. And Russia is getting involved for us,’ BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
Lukashenko also warned that an attack on Belarus would become the third world war.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in case of aggression against Belarus.
