Speaking at the UN Security Council meeting, Vladimir Zelenskyy spoke against negotiations with Russia to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
‘This conflict cannot be solved by negotiations, actions are needed. <…> Russia can only be forced to peace,’ Vladimir Zelenskyy said, without specifying what specific actions he meant.
He criticised those who ‘want to talk’ to Russian leader Vladimir Putin about a solution to the Ukrainian conflict. In addition, in his speech, Zelenskyy again advocated using his ‘peace formula’ to resolve the crisis.
In addition, Zelenskyy called for ‘preparing a second peace summit’ in Ukraine to end the conflict with Russia, but did not specify what it would discuss. He invited China, Brazil, Asian, Latin American, US and other countries to participate in the settlement process.
‘We must prepare the second summit of the world to end the conflict’, – added Zelenskyy.
We will remind, earlier the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev proposed the Russian version of the ‘peace formula’ in Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
