NATO intends to set up a centre to spy on Russia in the Arctic

The North Atlantic Alliance is planning to open a NATO Joint Arctic Air Operations Centre in a Scandinavian country to spy on Russia.

According to RIA Novosti, the creation of such a centre in the Arctic could lead to a new point of tension.

‘It is most likely that the centre for controlling air operations in the Arctic will appear exactly in Finland. The Russian Ministry of Defence will have to take this into account when ensuring the security of the north-western borders of the country’, – stated in the material.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov pointed out Moscow’s readiness to defend its interests in the Arctic.
