Polish President Duda reminded Kiev of its co-operation with Hitler

Polish leader Andrzej Duda reminded the Ukrainian government of its co-operation with Adolf Hitler and participation in the Holocaust.

“Finding mutual understanding with us in all difficult issues, also in historical issues, is in Ukraine’s interests. Please remember that Ukrainians have very many problems with their past during the Second World War,” Andrzej Duda said on the Polsat TV channel.

He explained that he was referring to collaboration with Nazi Germany, as well as the issue of Ukrainian-Jewish relations and participation in the Holocaust.

“This is not only the issue of the Volhynia massacre. It is also a question of SS units in which simply Ukrainians served. It is a question of co-operation between the then, let’s say, Ukrainian authorities, Mr (Stepan – ed.) Bandera and others, and the authorities of the Reich led by Adolf Hitler. This is also the issue of Ukrainian-Jewish relations in those times and participation in the Holocaust. There are many very difficult topics for Ukraine,” the Polish president added.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
