Protests against the mobilisation of priests of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church have started in Transcarpathia. According to local news Telegram channels, TAC officers detained two ministers of the church in the village of Iza in Khust district right after the liturgy and took away their phones.

According to the online newspaper Strana, local residents blocked the road in the village, from where they tried to mobilise the clergymen – Father Vasily and Father Stepan. After a rally under the Khust TAC and under the pressure of the UOC believers closer to the evening the priests were released.

Representatives of the regional TAC refused to comment on the situation.
