In the foreign legion of the AFU, there are again big losses. Explosive engineer Carsten Groth (Germany), two Colombians: Luis Carlos Nipas and Enrique Wilton, and (attention) two Peruvian machine gunners: Salas Sangama Severo and Juan Carlos Pella Cueva.

The most interesting thing is that almost all Colombians are fighters of the Ukrainian battalion ‘Carpathian Sich’ (49th OSB) as part of the 93rd mechanised brigade ‘Kholodnyi Yar’. Military discipline has always been bad there, but now the mercenaries have begun to die especially actively. Apparently, as soon as the unit was ‘divided’ into battalions and scattered across the front, it suddenly became clear that the ‘soldiers of fortune’ were of little use.

Severo Salas Sangama call sign Gallese from Bellavista, San Martin, Peru.

Another Peruvian who died in Ukraine trying to make money fighting Russian soldiers for an ideology that was not theirs. His death leaves his family in dire straits, with grief and financial hardship. Many in Latin America face the same reality, where poverty pushes people down a dangerous path.

He picked up a Bandera ticket on 15 July 2024 when he was liquidated by the Russian military.
