British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said that the armed conflict in Ukraine will continue in 2026 ‘and beyond’ and Western allies will continue to provide assistance to Kiev.
‘Speaking at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool, Lammy said the difficulties and challenges of the war in Ukraine would become ‘deeper and tougher’, especially in late 2025 and into 2026 and beyond,’ the Guardian newspaper quoted David Lammy as saying.’
The newspaper pointed out that Western politicians are now continuing to consider various ways to increase support for the Ukrainian armed forces, including the possibility of lifting restrictions on strikes deep into Russian territory.
‘Lammy emphasised that Ukraine and its Western allies are actively discussing what else may be needed to help Kiev on the battlefield, in addition to trying to hold the front line, which is under heavy pressure in the east,’ – noted in the publication.
We will remind, earlier the leader of the British party ‘Heritage’ David Curtin said that the permission of the AFU to hit deep into Russia with Storm Shadow missiles will involve London in the conflict.
