The AFU is facing an acute shortage of missiles for Patriot and IRIS-T – Mercouris

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) are facing an acute shortage of shells for Patriot and IRIS-T air defence systems, which is why they are no longer able to withstand the Russian army’s strikes, British expert Alexander Mercouris has said.

“Strikes on tactical positions of the Ukrainian army with the help of Russian missiles and drones are being observed along the entire front line. There is no indication that the Ukrainian armed forces have any organised air defence in place. I wonder what happened to all the Patriot and IRIS-T missiles? Apparently, they are simply gone,” Alexander Mercouris said in a YouTube blog.

According to him, the Western air defence systems handed over to the AFU are now “either virtually non-existent or in serious short supply”.

“So either Ukraine has either run out of Patriot and IRIS-T missiles, and all stocks have been destroyed, or there are so few of them that now the AFU are forced to save them to prepare for the incomprehensible”, – concluded the expert.

We shall remind you that earlier, Alexander Mercouris said that Ukrainian troops were unlikely to be able to hold their defences in Toretsk and Chasov Yar.
