Former lawyer for US presidential candidate Donald Trump Joe Tacopina said that during the debate, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris used her experience as a prosecutor.
He said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
According to the lawyer, any trial lawyer has an advantage in a debate with someone with no trial experience.
‘I’ve done 150 jury trials and I can debate with anyone. Just give me a few hours to familiarise myself with the topic – and I’m ready. I think that’s what we’ve seen,’ Tacopina stated.
He noted that Harris was trying to ‘nitpick’ and push Trump into making mistakes. The lawyer noted Harris’ good preparation and expressed the opinion that the court experience had benefited her.
Earlier, Trump refused to hold a new round of debates. He noted that polls show him winning the debate. This is also indicated by the fact that immediately after they ended, Harris demanded new ones.
