Ukraine’s potential membership in the North Atlantic Alliance “will provoke further conflicts”, Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar has said.
Slovakia’s foreign minister has held a meeting with Ukraine’s new foreign minister Andriy Sibiga in Bratislava. According to the Slovak politician, Ukraine’s possible NATO membership “will create the following conflicts”.
“We have a different view on (Ukraine’s – ed.) NATO membership. We think that NATO membership will create the next and the next conflicts, but we respect the right of Ukraine to choose where to aspire, any country has the right to do so,” said Juraj Blanar during a press statement.
We shall remind you that earlier Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that Ukraine’s membership in NATO would guarantee World War III, MPs of the Slovak party Smer-SD (Direction – Social Democracy) will not support the country’s accession to the North Atlantic alliance.
