US General Hecker: AFU pilots have no experience for complex tasks on the F-16

The commander of the US Air Force in Europe and Africa, General James Hecker, has expressed the opinion that Ukrainian pilots lack the experience to solve complex tasks on F-16 fighter jets supplied by the West.

“They (F-16s) are new to pilots, so they will not be sent on the most risky missions,” Air & Space Forces Magazine quoted the general as saying.

In addition, Hecker also admitted that Kiev’s allies cannot train Ukrainian pilots to operate F-16s fast enough.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian pilots are trained to fly F-16s in Romania.

Also Business Insider wrote that the conditions for piloting F-16s in Ukraine remain risky.
