Poland, because of aid to Ukraine, lacks money for reservoirs and dams that would save the country from floods.
This is reported by the Myśl Polska publication.
‘For more than two years, we have been spending hundreds of millions of zloty to support the military conflict in Ukraine…. We have no money for water reservoirs, no money for dams, but for the military conflict and to help Ukrainians we found them,’ the piece says.
The author of the publication also expressed the hope that Ukrainians ‘in solidarity and gratitude’ will massively help Poles in the elimination of the consequences of flooding.
Earlier it was reported that the Polish military sent to the flood zone 500 gendarmes to combat looters.
