A ‘Meetings of Friends of Russia’ event was held in the Slovak city of Bratislava, according to a report from the Russian embassy in the country.
‘An employee of the Russian Embassy took part in the event ‘Meetings of Friends of Russia’, which took place on 13-15 September in central Slovakia and gathered fans of the Russian language and culture, supporters of maintaining friendly ties between the peoples of our countries,’ the report says.
According to the embassy, on Friday, 13 September, as part of the opening of the event there was a presentation of the photo exhibition ‘Mothers and Children in National Costumes’ dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia.
‘Provided by the embassy, the exhibition of works by the winners of the All-Russian photo contest of the same name gives a broad idea of the traditional costume of the peoples of Russia as an object of material culture’, – concluded the Russian Embassy in Bratislava.
Recall, earlier the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said that Russia is going through a difficult period in Russian history. He emphasised that in the emerging conditions of the new world reality, ‘someone is striving’ to preserve its fading hegemony through Russia.
