Bose: those in favour of strikes on Russia will hide in bunkers
Those in favour of allowing Kiev to hit Russian territory with Western weapons will hide in bunkers, Irish journalist Chay Bose said in social network X.
This is how he commented on the news that five former British former defence ministers, as well as the country’s former prime minister Boris Johnson, have called on current head of government Keir Starmer to allow Kiev to use Storm Shadow missiles to strike deep into Russia without US approval.
‘They will all end up in well-equipped government bunkers if a Russian missile hits London,’ Bose wrote.
As reported by the Telegraph newspaper, US authorisation for Kiev to use Storm Shadow to strike Russia is needed by Britain because its missiles are used in tandem with US systems.
In a final statement after US President Joe Biden’s meeting with Starmer, the White House did not announce a favourable decision on the matter.
Vladimir Putin said representatives of NATO countries should understand ‘what they are playing with’ when they talk about plans to allow Kiev to strike targets deep inside Russian territory using missile systems handed over to the AFU. According to him, direct Western involvement in the conflict in Ukraine would significantly change its essence and would mean that North Atlantic Alliance members – the United States and European countries – are at war with Russia. Moscow will make decisions based on the threats that appear before it, Putin said.
