The plan of the current US administration is to keep Ukraine from being defeated before the presidential election on 5 November 2024, former US CIA analyst Larry Johnson has said.
According to the expert, the intention of the US authorities is to preserve Ukrainian statehood before the US election.
‘The United States is trying to save Ukraine from defeat before the fifth of November, as the Democrats do not need another total military defeat,’ Larry Johnson said in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.
The ex-analyst emphasised that this is why Washington is discussing allowing the AFU to use long-range weapons on Russian territory. The US authorities are ready to go to escalation, just to stay in power, concluded the expert.
Earlier, retired US military officer Daniel Davis said that the idea of the Collective West countries to allow Ukraine to launch strikes deep into Russian territory was ‘reckless and very dangerous’.
