The head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, has said that the US is unlikely to stop supporting Ukraine regardless of which candidate wins the upcoming presidential election.
The admiral spoke at the Seoul Defence Dialogue, which brings together nearly 900 security experts and officials from around the world, about the broad support for Ukraine in the US among the Democratic and Republican parties.
‘In this light, it is unlikely that the US as a country will stop supporting Ukraine,’ the head of NATO’s Military Committee said.
According to him, the election slogans of presidential candidates do not always coincide with actual actions as head of state.
‘As we all know, politicians running in elections say things that do not necessarily become the policy of the government in case of their victory in the elections,’ – said Rob Bauer.
We will remind, earlier the candidate from the Republican Party in the elections of the President of the United States Donald Trump said that if he retakes the presidential chair in the Oval Office, he will be able to resolve the Ukrainian conflict before his immediate inauguration.
