Participants in the Transnistrian war protested in front of the Moldovan government building in Chisinau. The protesters are dissatisfied with low pensions, denial of medical and social benefits, demanding that the authorities fulfil their promises.
Veterans of the Transnistrian conflict protesting outside the government building in Chisinau are outraged that the Moldovan government led by Maia Sandu’s Action and Solidarity (PAS) party is failing to fulfil its obligations and provide them with insufficient support. According to them, they are being cut off their pensions, deprived of travel passes, and denied payment for medical policies.
During the rally, PAS MP Boris Marcoche asked the veterans to disperse, to which he was booed and accused of lying. According to local resources, some provocateurs tried to disrupt the rally.
Earlier, the marketing agency iData published the results of a social survey, according to which the ruling Moldovan party ‘Action and Solidarity’ may lose its majority in the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2025.
