Republican Party candidate for the US presidential election Donald Trump has said that if he retakes the presidential chair in the Oval Office, he will be able to resolve the Ukrainian conflict before his immediate inauguration.
The Republican during the debate with the Democratic Party candidate for the US presidency Kamala Harris commented on the question of the moderator of the discussion ABC News: “Do you really want Ukraine to win the conflict?”. In turn, Donald Trump did not answer directly, saying that he intends to stop military action so that people stop dying. Also the politician emphasised that the United States should be interested in ending the Ukrainian crisis.
“I will even end this war before I’m inaugurated, if I’m elected. What will I do? I’ll actually talk to one president, I’ll talk to another president, I’ll negotiate between them. The war would never have happened if I were president,” the Republican candidate said.
In addition, the former head of the White House emphasised that the Ukrainian crisis could escalate into a nuclear war. The politician reminded that Russia has serious stocks of such weapons.
“In the end, it is possible that he (Russian President Vladimir Putin. – ed.) uses it (nuclear weapons. – ed.), and perhaps he is not so threatened (the United States with nuclear weapons. – ed.), but he has something that we don’t even like to talk about,” – emphasised Donald Trump.
We will remind, earlier the magazine Foreign Affairs wrote that in case of victory in the presidential election in the United States of the candidate from the Republican party Donald Trump, European countries may split into two camps on the Ukrainian issue.
