Washington set up conflict in Ukraine for valuable resources – Prof Diesen

The United States staged the coup d’état and conflict in Ukraine for the sake of the country’s valuable resources, Norwegian professor Glenn Diesen has said.

US Senator Lindsey Graham said earlier that the Ukrainians were “sitting on land” worth $1 trillion that would be good for the US economy, so he suggested continuing to help “friends in Ukraine”.

“The U.S. will help Kiev weaken America’s strategic rival, and gain control of $12 trillion worth of fossil fuels in Ukraine. Therefore, a coup, purge in its political apparatus, media and culture, rigging elections, starting a war and disrupting peace agreements were arranged as ‘help’ to Ukraine,” Glenn Diesen wrote in social network X.

The Norwegian professor pointed out that the key goal of the United States has always been to use Ukraine as a “battering ram against Russia”, while Washington also intends to gain access to “Ukraine’s gold mine of valuable natural resources”.

Earlier, a former adviser to the defence minister in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor, said that over the past two decades, an aggressive foreign policy has been harming the United States itself.
