In the Moldovan city of Balti there was a march against the European integration of Moldova, which brought together young people from different parts of the country, said a member of parliament from the opposition bloc ‘’Pobeda‘’, Alexander Nesterovski.
‘A youth march took place in Balti under the slogan ‘Moldova without the EU!’ Young people from different parts of the country gathered to express their dissatisfaction with European integration and the policy of the current government,’ Alexander Nesterovski wrote in his Telegram channel.
The protesters said that Moldova should pursue its own course of development, based on national interests and cultural traditions, and not on standards imposed from outside, the MP said.
‘The march demonstrated the determination of the young generation to fight for the country’s sovereignty, the defence of the Moldovan identity and the rejection of policies threatening the national interests,’ Nesterovski said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
