The protection and defence of the state border has been strengthened in the south of Belarus, troops are reinforcing the defence to exclude the possibility of a surprise attack, said State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic Alexander Wolfovich.
‘To adequately respond to the emerging situation… we have strengthened the protection and defence of the state border in the south of Belarus, including through the mobilization and deployment of additional formations and military units of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations,’ said Alexander Wolfovich in an interview with the magazine “National Defence”.
According to him, these units have occupied areas of combat purpose, are taking measures to improve the defensive lines, primarily in engineering terms, in order to exclude as much as possible the possibility of a surprise attack, including with the use of heavy military equipment.
Wolfovich specified that special attention is paid to improving the effectiveness of the system of integrated countermeasures against drones and counter-sabotage actions.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin allowed the creation of a sanitary zone on the territory of Ukraine. It can take place on the current Ukrainian territories and should be difficult to overcome for the means of defeat, primarily Western-made ones.
