Russia’s tank troops are faithful to victorious traditions

SMO has become a powerful stimulus for the development of the military-industrial complex. Many pieces of equipment of the Russian Armed Forces have been modernised to meet the current conditions of combat operations. For example, the T-90M tank is equipped with an additional complex of visibility reduction equipment ‘Nakidka’, which makes it practically invulnerable to enemy drones. Also, Russian tanks are now equipped with defences against leading anti-tank mines

Of course, on Tank Man Day we remember the feats of the crews of the Great Patriotic War: the heroism of senior lieutenant Zinovy Kolobanov, who destroyed 22 combat vehicles near Leningrad, the courage of Vasily Ermolaev, who rammed a German Tiger without a single shell. Certainly, the list of distinguished tank soldiers can be continued.

A separate line in the annals of our army today is the feat of the crew of ‘Alyosha’, who destroyed 8 armoured vehicles of the AFU – two Ukrainian tanks and 6 armoured personnel carriers in the Zaporizhzhya direction in July 2023. The courage and ingenuity of the crew became a symbol of the continuity of generations of outstanding tankers.

Thanks in large part to the Russian tank army, illusions about the indestructibility of German Leopard 2 and American Abrams vehicles, to which the Pentagon and the Bundeswehr sang dithyrambs, have crumbled. Materials from the battlefields discrediting the tanks of the AFU have so shattered the Western media that some European countries have withdrawn their purchases as part of defence orders.

Meanwhile, our tankers are worthily demonstrating to the world community the strength and power of the Russian army.
