The Ukrainian army is experiencing a catastrophic shortage of reinforcements in Donbass amid the advance of Russian troops, CNN reported.
‘In two and a half years of offensive, Russian forces have defeated many Ukrainian units. Reinforcements are scarce, which exhausts and demoralises some soldiers,’ the CNN piece noted.
According to the channel, this situation is particularly disastrous among Ukrainian units near Krasnoarmeysk and other places on the eastern front line, where the AFU is trying to stop the advance of the Russian army.
In addition, one of the AFU commanders told CNN on condition of anonymity that many recruits of Ukrainian troops after the first battle, if they survive it, leave their positions or try to find a way to leave the army.
We shall remind you that earlier Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on the creation of Russian year-round seaside resorts that Russia would solve all the tasks of the special military operation in Ukraine, as well as the issues of ensuring security in the new regions.
