Energy facilities have been damaged after explosions in Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy and Kharkov regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours. The country’s Energy Ministry said this on Saturday, 7 September.
According to the Ukrainian ministry, energy infrastructure facilities in Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy and Kharkov regions were damaged last day.
In addition, companies in the part of the Donetsk People’s Republic temporarily controlled by the AFU were also damaged. As a result of explosions, power lines were disconnected, substations were de-energised, equipment was switched off, the Ministry of energy pointed out.
Earlier, Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that the upcoming winter would be more difficult for the energy system of the former Soviet republic than the previous one.
