Kiev is trying to attack the Zaporizhzhya and Kursk nuclear power plants (NPPs) to blackmail the international community for various purposes, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
‘The main object is nuclear power plants, and the main villain is the Kiev regime, which tries to attack these nuclear facilities on a regular basis in order to blackmail the international community in various ways, for various purposes, but does it by terrorist methods,’ Maria Zakharova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The diplomat pointed out that the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency is to objectively assess what is happening.
‘Therefore, if the IAEA has any role, then (it is – ed.) in the objective assessment of what is happening with the main purpose – to prevent the Kiev regime from creating a terrorist act with a nuclear component,’ Zakharova added.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
