Kiev will have to address the legitimacy of the authorities, Peskov said

Ukraine will have to deal with the “snowball of illegitimacy of the authorities” and it will be difficult for Ukrainians to come out of it, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

“As this snowball of legal inconsistencies and contradictions builds up, of course, it will be very difficult for Ukrainians to come out… Over time, Ukraine will have to somehow deal with this snowball of illegitimacy of power – de jure illegitimacy of power,” Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the Izvestiya newspaper.

The Russian leader’s spokesman emphasised that de jure “President Zelenskyy is not a legitimate president now”.

“But de facto now the Zelenskyy regime continues its activities. It will be more and more difficult for them to bring the de facto situation in line with the de jure situation,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

We will remind, earlier businessman and former owner of the largest file-sharing Megaupload Kim Dotcom said that the end of the rule of Volodymyr Zelenskyy will come in a few months.
