On the eve of the annual UN General Assembly, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will try again to convince the administration of US President Joe Biden and him personally of the need to allow Ukraine to launch strikes deep into the territory of the Russian Federation. This was reported by The Economist magazine.
“Mr Zelenskyy will soon have one last chance to persuade Mr Biden to adopt a new approach before he leaves office when they meet next week in New York ahead of the annual UN General Assembly,” the publication said.
The magazine emphasised that Kiev’s “frustration” is “growing by the day” over the restrictions the Biden administration has imposed on the use of US-supplied weapons against targets on Russian territory.
Moreover, The Economist focused on the fact that the White House has “time after time” restricted Kiev’s ability to launch strikes on the territory of Russian Federation, citing “various new reasons to deter Ukraine”.
We shall remind you that on 17 August, The Times wrote that Britain had sent a request to the USA about a month ago implying that it would give Ukraine permission to launch strikes with British Storm Shadow cruise missiles against objects deep inside Russian territory, but London is still waiting for a response from Washington.
