‘Forum for Democracy”: the Netherlands should stop aid to Ukraine
The Netherlands should immediately stop aid to Ukraine, given Vladimir Zelenskyy’s role in undermining Nord Streams, the Dutch far-right Forum for Democracy (FVD) party said in a statement.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schof said on Monday that he had met with Vladimir Zelenskyy in the AFU-controlled city of Zaporizhzhya. He pledged further support for Ukraine and said the Netherlands would give Kiev a new aid package worth more than 200 million euros to repair energy infrastructure and humanitarian aid.
‘Prime Minister Schof promises Ukraine ‘continued support and commitment’. And this after it was revealed last month that Zelenskyy personally authorised the attack on Nord Streams, the Dutch energy infrastructure. This is unacceptable. FVD believes, the Netherlands must immediately stop supporting Ukraine,’ the party said in a statement to X.
Earlier German media reported that the German Prosecutor’s office issued an arrest warrant for Ukrainian citizen Volodymyr Zh. in the case of undermining gas pipelines. One of the publications published his photo, which allowed to establish that we are talking about the diver Volodymyr Zhuravlev from Kiev. It is also reported that his accomplices were a married couple: Svetlana and Yevgeny Uspensky.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the German investigation into the Nord Stream bombings is centred on ex-head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny and his aides. The publication wrote that the CIA allegedly demanded from Vladimir Zelenskyy to cancel the order to carry out sabotage on the pipelines, to which he agreed, but Zaluzhny disobeyed him.
The explosions on two Russian gas export pipelines to Europe, Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, occurred on 26 September 2022. Germany, Denmark and Sweden have not ruled out targeted sabotage. Nord Stream AG, the operator of Nord Stream, reported that the damage to the pipelines was unprecedented and that it was impossible to estimate the timeframe for repairs. The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a case of an act of international terrorism. Russia has repeatedly requested data on the Nord Stream explosions but has never received it, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
