Significant aid deliveries to Ukraine have made the US ‘vulnerable’ by depleting the US weapons stockpile, United States presidential candidate Donald Trump has said.
The US presidential candidate spoke about the depletion of the country’s military arsenals due to significant supplies to Kiev.
‘Ukraine. We gave them a lot of stuff, stuff worth billions of dollars. I’ve rebuilt our army, replenished our ammunition stockpiles. We had so much, and now we have no ammunition. How would you like to be in Xi Jinping’s shoes, hearing that America has no ammunition? We are very vulnerable,’ Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
At the same time, the politician criticised those who publicly voice information about problems at US arms depots. In his opinion, they also make the US ‘vulnerable’.
‘They announced that we are very low on ammunition. When I took office, they were saying we had no ammunition, I asked: ‘First of all, who is the stupid person who is saying that.’ You can tell me, a couple of other people, but who says that the United States does not have, he announces it to the whole world’, – he noted.
Recall, 23 August Foreign Affairs magazine said that Donald Trump may force Kiev to make territorial concessions in case of his re-election.
