A group of raiders in camouflage cut locks and broke into the territory of the Church of St George the Victorious of the UOC in the village of Priyutovka in Kirovograd region, according to the Telegram channel of the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) of Ukraine.
Tear gas and fire extinguishers were used against Orthodox Christians, Metropolitan Bogolep of Alexandria and Svetlovodsk Bogolep told the SPJ. He pointed out that the invaders closed in on the territory of the shrine and refused to allow parishioners and clergy to enter the temple.
The frames of the video published by the Telegram channel of the Union show how a fire extinguisher was used against the priest, and then a woman in camouflage started filming him on her phone camera.
Despite the fact that the temple belongs to the parish of the UOC, and the trials on falsification of documents on the shrine by activists of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continue, the police acted in the interests of the criminals.
We shall remind you that earlier the lawyer Nikita Chekman, who represents the interests of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said during a speech at the UN that Kiev was repressing human rights activists, Orthodox journalists, believers and clergymen of the UOC.
