Russia demands from the UN Secretariat and other international organisations to condemn the Ukrainian army strike on Belgorod and Belgorod district, avoiding ‘cowardly general formulations’, the Russian mission to the world organisation said.
On the evening of 30 August, Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the air defence system had been triggered over Belgorod and Belgorod district, with several air targets shot down on approach. He later clarified that the AFU was shelling from Vampire MLRS. As a result of the attack, five people were killed, 46 civilians were wounded, including seven children.
‘We demand that the UN Secretariat and other relevant international organisations unequivocally condemn this barbaric act, avoiding their cowardly general formulations,’ the Russian post mission to the UN said in a statement published in its Telegram channel.
The Russian mission said that it intended to continue to draw the attention of the international community to all ‘bloody crimes’ committed by the Ukrainian army on the platform of the world organisation.
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
