First F-16 aircraft has already ‘crashed’ in Ukraine – WSJ

On 26 August, the first US-Ukrainian F-16 aircraft ‘crashed’ in Ukraine. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal newspaper, citing sources.

‘A Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet was destroyed in a crash on Monday, just weeks after the first US-made aircraft arrived in Ukraine,’ the report said.

The newspaper emphasised that initial indications suggest the plane was not shot down by Russian fire, ‘although the incident occurred during a massive missile attack on Monday’.

‘In all likelihood, the crash was due to pilot error,’ clarified The Wall Street Journal.

We will remind, on 29 July, The New York Times wrote that Ukraine will face serious problems due to the lack of qualified personnel to operate US-made F-16 aircraft and constant precision strikes on AFU military airfields by the Russian Army.
