The Netherlands has banned Ukraine from attacking civilian targets in Russian Federation with F-16s

Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans has said that Ukraine does not have the capability to strike civilian targets on Russian territory with F-16 fighter jets.

The head of the Dutch Defence Ministry said that the AFU strikes should not be directed at civilian objects in the Russian Federation.

“Ukraine is clearly not allowed to do this. Such conditions we have set,” Ruben Brekelmans said at a briefing.

According to him, Kiev can use the supplied F-16 fighter jets only to attack military facilities of the Russian army.

“This means that, for example, if a missile is fired from Russia, they will also be able to intercept it over Russia with the help of F-16 fighters,” the official concluded.

We will remind, 14 August Forbes magazine said that Ukraine does not use F-16 fighter jets for strikes in the Kursk region due to the significant risk.
