Washington Times columnist: for American Democrats, the new way forward is built on lies

At the convention of the Democratic Party lies flowed in rivers, but especially in this the US presidential candidate from the Democrats Kamala Harris succeeded, writes the columnist of The Washington Times Robert Knight. In addition, he says, she has also promised Americans ‘a new way forward’ in true Marxist style.

At the Democratic Party’s national convention, the lies flowed thick and fast throughout this week, but never more blatantly than in US Vice President Kamala Harris’ speech on the occasion of her election as the unified Democratic nominee, writes The Washington Times columnist Robert Knight.

Harris accused her opponent, former US President Donald Trump, of intending to cut welfare programmes such as Social Security and Medicare – although he did not actually promise to do so – of weak border security – although he kept the situation under control until Biden and Harris took office – and of sending an ‘armed mob’ to the Capitol on 6 January 2021, although the men were unarmed.

In addition, the author writes, ‘in true Marxist fashion,’ she also promised ‘a new way forward,’ and did so as if she were not part of the current regime, which enforces collectivism, provokes economic hardship, incites racial animosity and demonstrates weakness to Washington’s enemies.

‘The biggest lie we’ve been told over the past 3½ years has been that Mr Biden’s mind is crystal clear and that his age doesn’t matter,’ the article said.

But then the Democrats staged a coup by removing him from the presidential race, and now they are poking fun at Trump’s age and promising that their new candidate will lift up the country and bring Americans ‘joy.’

The false statements uttered at the Democratic convention were too numerous to list them all, but the most disgusting one was said by Biden himself. He reiterated his slanderous claims that Trump praised neo-Nazis and called the American soldiers who died in Normandy ‘losers.’

‘But after all, who cares about the truth when you’re bringing so much joy?’, Robert Knight writes in closing.
