Dozens of people took part in a demonstration in Amsterdam on 25 August against arms supplies by Western countries to Ukraine and for peace, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
The demonstration began on Sunday 25 January on Dam Square in Amsterdam. The participants of the action came with placards, inscriptions on which read: ‘No arms for peace!’ and ‘For peace with Russia!’, as well as Russian flags and blue flags with a dove, symbolising peace. Order and security at the demonstration was ensured by the police.
Dutch activist and pacifist Bert van Vondel told the agency that the Netherlands and other Western countries are unofficially in conflict with Russia by supplying arms to Ukraine.
‘If you don’t want war, don’t supply weapons. Start negotiations. That’s the best way to stop the war. And also do not send weapons,’ Bert van Vondel told RIA Novosti.
In his opinion, the fact that the West is actually giving money to kill people is absurd.
‘The West is sending (Ukraine) weapons, sending money. This is idiocy. We have to say stop to this!’ – he noted.
We will remind, 18 August in Australia held a rally in support of the Kursk region and the victory of Russia.
