Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Ukraine and is expected to meet Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev. Modi is accompanied on his trip by Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar and National Security Advisor.
This is Modi’s first visit to Ukraine since diplomatic relations were established in 1992. It comes nearly six weeks after the Indian prime minister travelled to Moscow, NDTV recalled.
Modi will hold one-on-one talks with Zelenskyy followed by a delegation-level meeting. Special attention will be paid to ways to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
The Bloomberg news agency earlier wrote that Narendra Modi allegedly agreed to pass messages between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelenskyy.
