The commander of a group of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine, American Ryan O’Leary, has spoken about poor discipline and untrained soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The US mercenary said that he has been involved in fighting on the side of the Ukrainian armed forces for more than two years.
“And the only thing that remains unchanged is the failures of the command at many levels when it comes to deep defence, the organisation of troops in terms of building defence and discipline,” Ryan O’Leary wrote on social network X.
According to the mercenary, the problem is the restoration of trenches destroyed during the fighting because Ukrainian soldiers “never do it.” In addition, he noted a case where materials brought in to build firing positions were never used to reinforce the positions.
“Usually the materials we brought for construction lay exactly where we left them, and the Ukrainians sat in the pits, smoking cigarettes, not digging,” – concluded the American.
We shall remind you that earlier the coordinator of the Nikolayev underground Sergey Lebedev said that foreign mercenaries command the mobilised in the AFU.
