Kazakhstan and Tajikistan concluded a treaty on allied relations

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that he and Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon signed a treaty that brings co-operation between the two countries to the allied level of relations.

Tokayev said this during the talks with Rakhmon in an expanded format.

“This event is of a special nature and is an important step in achieving the common goal of bringing Kazakh-Tajik relations of friendship and mutual support to a qualitatively new level,” TASS quoted him as saying.

The head of Kazakhstan emphasised that the signing of the agreement on allied relations will open new horizons for the two states and lay the foundations for strengthening ties between the countries.

Earlier, the vice-governor of the Murmansk region Olga Kuznetsova and the head of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics opportunities.
